Concerned about speeding on our streets?
According to the CHARA residents’ survey conducted this past year, many residents are concerned about speeding on our residential streets. For CHARA, resident safety is of utmost concern and speeding on residential streets is an increasing danger. In order to combat this, we need your help.
This city has approved a policy which allows residents to request, by means of a petition, a speed limit decrease to 40km/h on a residential street. (Unless otherwise posted, the speed limit is 50km/h.) The written petition requires at least 2/3 of residents on the street and if approved the city will install 40Km/h speed limit signs. The petition form can be found here. Please help us in making Carleton Heights a safer place to live.
